ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is exploring the use of mini-organ models, called organoids, to study diseases that affect the digestive system, particularly conditions like inflammatory bowel disease, ulcerative colitis, and Crohn’s disease. These organoids are made from small samples of tissue and can grow in a lab while maintaining the complexity of real human organs. This research aims to better understand how these diseases work and to find new ways to treat them, all while reducing the need for animal testing.

To participate in this trial, individuals aged 18 to 75 who are scheduled for an endoscopy and need to have a digestive biopsy taken may be eligible. Participants will need to provide written consent to join the study. However, people who are under legal protection or taking certain blood-thinning medications may not be able to participate. Those who join can expect to help advance medical research while contributing to a better understanding of their condition and potentially improving future treatment options.
