ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new treatment method called accelerated repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) for people who have peripheral neuropathy, a condition that often causes ongoing pain. rTMS is a noninvasive approach that uses magnetic fields to help change how the brain processes pain. Unlike traditional rTMS, which is done once a day for a week, this trial explores delivering rTMS several times a day to see if it can reduce the overall treatment time while still providing relief from neuropathic pain.
To be eligible for this trial, participants should be between the ages of 65 and 74 and have been diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy. They need to experience constant pain that has lasted for at least a month and requires pain relief more than once a week. During the trial, participants will receive the accelerated rTMS treatment, and the goal is to find out if this method is effective and safe for managing their pain. It's important to note that individuals with severe depression, certain psychiatric conditions, or other specific health issues, such as epilepsy or pregnancy, will not be able to participate in this study.
