ClinConnect Summary
The TeKnO T1D trial is a study designed to help parents of children aged 8 to 12 who have type 1 diabetes (T1D). The goal is to find out what information and support these parents need to better use insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors (CGM) for managing their child's diabetes. Based on this information, researchers plan to create a helpful app that provides education and resources to improve diabetes management and health outcomes for kids using these technologies.
To be eligible for this study, your child must be between 8 and 12 years old, diagnosed with T1D for at least six months, and currently using an insulin pump and CGM. Additionally, a parent or primary caregiver will need to participate and be fluent in English. If you decide to join the study, you can expect to share your experiences and needs as a parent, which will guide the development of the app. It's important to note that the study is not yet recruiting participants, so you'll need to wait for more information if you are interested.
