ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different imaging methods, MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) and ocular ultrasound, to see how well they can evaluate the layers of the eye without making direct contact. The goal is to understand how these two techniques compare, including when they agree and when they disagree about what they find. This research is particularly important for diagnosing eye conditions and ensuring patients receive the best care possible.
To participate in the trial, individuals must be over 18 years old and have been referred for eye imaging. They need to agree to take part in the study and be covered by a social security scheme. Participants will undergo a non-invasive ultrasound and a high-resolution MRI, which involves a contrast dye injected into a vein to improve the images. The entire MRI process takes about 30 minutes, and patients will be monitored for half an hour afterward to check for any side effects. It's important to note that certain individuals, such as those with specific medical devices or conditions, may not be eligible for this trial.
