ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on helping teenagers with cancer stay active in a way that fits their changing health needs. Right now, many programs encourage physical activity during treatment, but once these programs end, teens often stop exercising because the previous exercise plans no longer match how they feel or what their bodies can do. This study aims to create and test a new tool that lets adolescents assess their own physical abilities and decide how much exercise is right for them, without always needing a specialist’s guidance.
Teens between 13 and 18 years old who have been diagnosed with cancer and can read and speak Cantonese are invited to join, as long as they don’t have physical or learning difficulties that would make exercise unsafe or are already following a detailed exercise plan from their doctors. Participants will learn to use this new self-assessment tool to help them stay active safely and comfortably. The goal is to support young people with cancer in maintaining physical activity independently, improving their overall health and well-being during and after treatment.
