ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new way to help people with spinal cord injuries (SCI) become more physically active using smartphones. The researchers want to see if combining a special web-based program with real-time feedback from wearable devices can encourage participants to increase their activity levels more effectively than just using the web program alone. They believe this new approach will help individuals with SCI stay active in their communities.
To join the study, participants need to be between 18 and 75 years old, have a spinal cord injury that allows them to use their arms for exercise, and primarily use a wheelchair. They should also be at least six months post-injury and comfortable using smartphones and smartwatches. During the trial, participants will receive support and feedback through their devices to help them set and achieve physical activity goals. It's important to note that individuals with certain health issues or brain injuries won't be eligible to participate. Overall, this study aims to find innovative ways to improve the health and activity levels of those living with spinal cord injuries.
