ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Genetic Inclusion by Virtual Evaluation," is looking into how we can better help children with rare genetic disorders, especially those living in lower-resource areas along the Texas-Mexico border. The study uses an online system called Consultagene to provide remote evaluations and genetic testing. The goal is to improve the health of children who might have undiagnosed conditions that affect their development and overall well-being.
To participate in this study, children aged 1 to 18 years old who live in the Rio Grande Valley or El Paso, Texas, and have rare genetic diseases that haven't been diagnosed yet can apply. However, children who already have a known genetic disease are not eligible. Those who join the trial can expect to receive support through virtual consultations and genetic testing to help identify any potential health issues. This study aims to make genetic health resources more accessible to families in these communities.
