ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "A Setting Focus Overdose Prevention Intervention," is looking to help people who inject drugs (PWID) by reducing the spread of HIV and hepatitis C, as well as preventing drug overdoses. The study is designed for individuals who have used opioids in the last two weeks and are currently using drugs. It aims to provide support and resources in a peer-driven environment, meaning participants will engage with others who understand their experiences.
To be eligible for this study, you need to be actively using drugs, particularly opioids, but you cannot have any mental or physical health issues that would make it hard for you to participate. If you join, you can expect to receive guidance and support from peers, which may help you make safer choices and reduce health risks. The trial is currently recruiting participants of all genders, ages 18 and older, who are interested in improving their health and reducing the risks associated with drug use.
