ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how the timing of taking blood pressure medications—either in the morning or at bedtime—affects blood pressure and other health measures in people with high blood pressure, known as hypertension. The study will involve about 100 participants aged 40 to 75 who have been on stable blood pressure medication for at least eight weeks. Participants will be randomly assigned to take their medications at different times and will have their blood pressure and kidney function monitored over the course of the trial.
To be eligible, you need to have a diagnosis of hypertension and be taking one to four different blood pressure medications. However, certain conditions may exclude you from participating, including having irregular heart rhythms, diabetes, or a history of serious heart or brain issues. Throughout the study, no new medications will be introduced, ensuring that all changes in health are related to the timing of the existing medications. This trial will help us understand if taking these medications at different times can improve blood pressure control and overall health.
