ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether using artificial intelligence (AI) during colonoscopy can help doctors find more colonic polyps, which are small growths in the colon that can sometimes lead to cancer. The researchers want to see if AI not only helps in detecting these polyps but also improves over time as it learns from the procedures.
To participate in this trial, you must be someone who is scheduled for a colonoscopy at an outpatient clinic. However, if you have had a total colectomy (surgery to remove the entire colon) or do not wish to be included in Norway's national quality register for colonoscopy, you would not be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to have your colonoscopy performed with the assistance of AI technology, and the researchers will monitor how effective this technology is in improving polyp detection. This study could potentially lead to better outcomes for patients in the future.
