ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking into how often older patients with heart conditions are prescribed medications that might not be suitable for them during the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, it focuses on patients aged 75 and older who are part of a reimbursement program in the Tomsk Region. The study will check for potentially inappropriate medications (PIMs), which are drugs that could cause more harm than good, especially in elderly patients. It will also explore how many medications these patients are taking at once and whether any of their medications might interact negatively with each other.
To be eligible for participation, individuals need to be at least 18 years old and have a diagnosed cardiovascular disease while being enrolled in the reimbursement program. Participants will help researchers gather important information about medication use during this challenging time. By joining this study, they can contribute to understanding and improving medication safety for older adults with heart conditions.
