ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the use of tranexamic acid (TXA) during a specific medical procedure called endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), which is done to remove large polyps from the colon. The goal is to see if TXA can help prevent bleeding during and after the procedure, as bleeding can be a common complication. If you are an adult over 18 years old who has been referred for this type of procedure, you might be eligible to participate.
If you join the trial, you will receive TXA locally during your EMR procedure. The study is open to all genders and is currently recruiting participants. However, if you have had allergic reactions to TXA, have a history of seizures, or are pregnant, you would not be able to participate. This trial is important because it could help improve safety during colon polyp removal, potentially reducing the risk of bleeding for patients.
