ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how internet-delivered Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (ICBT) can help caregivers of individuals with spinal cord injuries (SCI). Caregivers often face significant challenges, including feelings of depression and anxiety, due to the demanding nature of their role. This trial aims to see if guided online therapy can improve the mental wellbeing of these caregivers, which in turn may positively affect the individuals they care for.
To participate in the study, you need to be at least 18 years old and have been caring for someone with an SCI for more than six months. You should also have access to a computer and the internet, and feel comfortable understanding the online material. However, if you are experiencing severe mental health issues, such as thoughts of suicide or serious drug problems, you might not be eligible. Throughout the trial, participants can expect to engage in a supportive online program designed to help them manage stress and improve their overall quality of life. This study is an important first step in understanding how to better support caregivers in their challenging but vital roles.
