ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how safe and effective bowel cleansing is for patients with advanced kidney problems before a colonoscopy, which is a test that looks inside the colon. Bowel preparation usually involves drinking a lot of fluids, and this can be challenging for patients with kidney issues because it might lead to complications. The trial aims to gather information about any adverse effects that might occur during this preparation, as well as how well the bowel is cleaned and how well patients tolerate the process.
To participate in this study, individuals need to be between the ages of 65 and 80 and have been diagnosed with significant chronic kidney problems (specifically, stage 3B to 5D renal failure). They should also have a colonoscopy scheduled for any reason, such as screening or follow-up. Participants will be monitored throughout the bowel preparation process, and their kidney function and overall experience will be carefully recorded. This research will help improve understanding of how to safely prepare patients with kidney issues for colonoscopy in everyday medical practice.
