ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a treatment called electroacupuncture for people with fibromyalgia (FM), a condition that causes widespread chronic pain and other symptoms like fatigue, sleep problems, and mood disorders. The researchers want to find out how effective electroacupuncture is in helping to relieve pain and improve the overall quality of life for patients with FM. They also aim to understand the biological changes in the body related to pain in these patients.
To participate in the trial, individuals need to be over 18 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of fibromyalgia with pain lasting more than six months. They should not have severe depression, certain medical conditions, or be pregnant. Participants can expect to receive electroacupuncture treatments and will be monitored for changes in their pain and overall well-being. This study is currently recruiting participants and aims to provide valuable insights into non-drug treatments for managing fibromyalgia pain.
