ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on understanding how home ventilation helps improve the quality of life and sleep for children with chronic breathing difficulties. Home ventilation is a treatment that helps support children who have trouble breathing due to various medical conditions, such as muscle diseases or problems with their lungs. The study aims to gather more information about the experiences of these children, as previous research has shown that their quality of life can be lower compared to healthy children.
To participate in the study, children must be between 6 months and 17 years old and have been using non-invasive ventilation at home for at least one month. Their parents or guardians will need to sign a consent form, and the family should be covered by social security. Participants can expect to complete some questionnaires about their daily life and sleep, helping researchers better understand how this treatment impacts them. The trial is currently recruiting participants from several centers in western France, including Angers, Nantes, Le Mans, Rennes, and Brest.
