ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how different tax proposals on tobacco products might change the way people buy these items. Specifically, researchers want to see how four types of taxes—focused on equal pricing for tobacco products, the amount of nicotine in them, how harmful they are, and taxes on products that claim to be less risky—affect purchasing habits among smokers.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 21 years old, smoke at least five cigarettes a day, and provide a breath sample that shows a certain level of carbon monoxide, which indicates tobacco use. You should not have any serious health issues that are not under control, and you shouldn’t be using any medications to help quit smoking. Participants can expect to contribute to important research that could influence future tobacco policies. It’s also important to note that the study is currently recruiting participants, so if you meet the criteria and are interested, you could be involved in this impactful research.
