ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how nutrition affects patients with non-tuberculous mycobacterial pulmonary disease (NTM-PD), a type of lung infection that can be difficult to treat. The researchers want to find out what tests and treatments can help improve the health and quality of life for patients, especially those who have lost weight or have a low body mass index. The goal is to better understand how to support these patients during their treatment, particularly when they experience gastrointestinal side effects from their medications.
To participate in the trial, individuals must be at least 18 years old and have been diagnosed with NTM-PD according to specific guidelines. However, those with severe kidney or liver problems, certain types of cancer, or who are currently undergoing other treatments will not be eligible. Participants can expect to undergo nutritional assessments and may receive support to help manage their health during their treatment. This trial is currently recruiting, and everyone, regardless of gender, is welcome to apply.
