ClinConnect Summary

The PACT trial is a study designed to see if a new tool can help cancer survivors and their heart doctors make better decisions about heart health. This tool, which can be accessed through electronic health records, aims to improve how doctors prescribe heart medications and monitor heart health in patients who might be at risk for heart problems after cancer treatment. The study will look at how well this tool works and whether both patients and doctors find it helpful.

To participate in this study, you need to be at least 18 years old and have a history of cancer. You should not have seen a heart doctor for a heart risk assessment since your cancer diagnosis, and you should be considered at risk for heart disease based on certain guidelines. Participants will have the chance to use the new decision-making tool and share their experiences. This study is not yet recruiting, so there is no need to sign up right now, but it’s a valuable opportunity for those who meet the criteria and want to help improve heart care for cancer survivors.
