ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is comparing two different positions—prone (lying face down) and modified supine (lying on the back with a slight tilt)—to see which is better for a specific kidney stone surgery called percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL). This surgery is used to remove complex kidney stones. The trial is currently looking for participants who are between 18 and 80 years old and have certain types of kidney stones. To be eligible, participants should have specific conditions, like having multiple stones or stones in difficult areas of the kidney.
If you choose to participate in this trial, you will undergo the PCNL surgery in one of the two positions being studied. The goal is to find out which position leads to better outcomes and is safer for patients. It’s important to know that participants will be closely monitored throughout the study to ensure their safety and care. This trial is a great opportunity to help improve treatment options for kidney stones in the future!
