ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a treatment called olfactory training to help people who have trouble smelling after recovering from COVID-19. Many individuals experience changes in their sense of smell, such as not being able to smell certain things (anosmia) or having distorted smells (parosmia). The study will last 12 weeks and will compare the effects of two different sets of scents: one group will use scents like rose and orange, while another group will use scents like cheese and coffee. Participants will take smell tests and answer questionnaires to see how their sense of smell improves.
To participate, you need to have tested positive for COVID-19 and still have problems with your sense of smell. You should be able to read and understand French, have a working email address, and an internet connection for the study. However, certain conditions, like having a serious neurological disease or a history of certain surgeries, may prevent you from joining. If you decide to take part, you'll be helping researchers learn more about how to treat smell problems that can occur after COVID-19.
