ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a new type of camera that captures special images of brain tumors during surgery. The goal is to see how well these images help surgeons understand what they’re removing from the brain and to make the surgery safer and more precise. By using this advanced imaging technology, doctors hope to get real-time information that could improve outcomes for patients undergoing surgery for low-grade gliomas, a type of brain tumor.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be adults aged 18 and older who have been diagnosed with a likely glioma and are scheduled for elective surgery. They should also be able to provide consent to participate. Unfortunately, those under 18, individuals who have had brain surgery before, or those unable to give consent will not be able to join the study. If you choose to participate, you can expect to have your surgery monitored with this new imaging technology, which could help in the overall effectiveness of the procedure.
