ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called Natural Helpers and PCIT, is looking into a special program designed to help families with young children who may be facing challenges related to behavior or past experiences of abuse. The program lasts for 18 weeks and combines a type of therapy called Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) with support from community health workers, known as natural helpers. The main goal is to see how well this approach helps families stay engaged in treatment and improves the well-being of both children and their caregivers.
Families with children aged 2 to 12 years old may be eligible to participate, especially if the children have a history of abuse or behavior problems. To join, families must commit to attending weekly sessions for six months and must not plan to move away during that time. Participants can expect to receive support and tools to improve their parenting skills and child behavior, with the hope of creating a more positive family environment. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it’s open to all genders.
