ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at the connection between oral lichen planus, a condition that affects the inside of the mouth, and autoimmune thyroid diseases, which are conditions where the immune system attacks the thyroid gland. Researchers want to better understand how these two health issues might be related and develop a way to predict how they affect each other.
If you or someone you know has oral lichen planus but does not have any other major health issues, you might be eligible to join this study. Participants should be between the ages of 65 and 74 and should not have severe gum disease. If you decide to participate, you can expect to undergo assessments related to your oral lichen planus and its potential links to thyroid health. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to gather important information that could help improve understanding and treatment options in the future.
