ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different body positions and postures of CPR providers affect their level of fatigue and the quality of chest compressions during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). CPR is a lifesaving technique used when someone’s heart has stopped beating, and doing it well is crucial for improving a patient’s chances of survival. The researchers want to understand how factors like posture can impact the effectiveness of CPR, as many providers struggle with fatigue during the process, which can lead to less effective care.
To participate in this trial, you need to be a healthcare professional between 18 and 65 years old, in good health, and have experience performing CPR. Unfortunately, pregnant women and those who are exceptionally fatigued or unable to understand English are not eligible. Participants will engage in various exercises related to CPR while the researchers monitor how different postures affect their performance. The goal is to develop recommendations that can help rescuers perform high-quality CPR more effectively, which could ultimately save more lives in emergency situations.
