ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is focused on improving safety in hospitals by encouraging families to actively report any concerns or experiences related to their child's care. Researchers have noticed that traditional methods of reporting safety issues, which mainly involve hospital staff, often miss important information—especially from patients and families. To address this, the trial will test a new system that includes a mobile reporting tool available in both English and Spanish, as well as education for families and staff. By involving families more directly in reporting safety issues, the goal is to better identify errors and improve patient safety, particularly for families from diverse backgrounds.
To participate in this trial, you must be a patient, family member, or caregiver of a child who is hospitalized on the study unit, or a staff member working in the hospitals involved. The study is seeking English- or Spanish-speaking participants, and it aims to include a broad range of diverse families. If you choose to join, you can expect to use the new reporting tool to share your safety concerns and to learn about how your feedback is used to improve hospital care. This trial hopes to create a safer hospital environment by making sure that everyone's voice is heard.
