ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is comparing two different types of optical devices that measure eye characteristics in patients who need cataract surgery or surgery for presbyopia, which is age-related difficulty in seeing close objects. The main goal is to see how well these two devices work in measuring the eyes of patients who will receive special lenses called intraocular lenses (IOLs) during their surgery.
To participate in this study, you should be between the ages of 65 and 74 and have cataracts and/or presbyopia, meaning you have trouble seeing things up close. However, if your cataract is too dense, which means it’s very cloudy and prevents measurements, you won't be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to have your eye measurements taken with both devices to help researchers understand which one gives better results. This information may help improve future cataract and presbyopia surgeries. The trial is currently looking for participants, so if you or a loved one fit the criteria, you might consider getting involved!
