ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the best way to take care of a fully implanted central venous catheter (CVC) in cancer patients. A fully implanted CVC is a device placed under the skin that allows doctors to give chemotherapy, fluids, or medications directly into the bloodstream. The trial aims to find out if patients really need to have their catheters maintained frequently or if less maintenance can still keep the catheters working well and reduce complications.
To participate in this study, you need to be over 18 years old and have had a fully implanted CVC for chemotherapy within the last 10 weeks. You should also be in good health, without serious complications from your cancer treatment. If you join the study, you will be randomly assigned to one of two groups: one that receives regular maintenance with a saline solution, and another that does not receive maintenance at all. This trial is currently looking for participants, and your involvement could help improve care for future cancer patients.
