ClinConnect Summary
The Clinic-based HIV Identification and Prevention Project is a clinical trial aimed at helping more women get access to a preventive medication called PrEP, which can reduce the risk of getting HIV. This study is looking at whether collecting information about patients’ medical and sexual history electronically can help healthcare providers better assess a woman's risk for HIV and encourage them to start PrEP during routine visits for women's health, like check-ups or STI testing.
To participate in this trial, women aged 15 to 65 who are visiting for preventive care are eligible, as long as they are not already pregnant, living with HIV, or unable to complete the required online questionnaire. If you choose to join, you can expect to answer some questions about your health and sexual history, which will help your doctor understand your risk and discuss options for HIV prevention with you. The study is currently recruiting participants, and your involvement could make a difference in improving HIV prevention strategies for women.
