ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how different methods of radiation therapy might affect the healing of the jawbone in patients who have had cancer in the head and neck area. Researchers want to understand if the area that receives radiation and the amount of radiation given at one time could lead to complications like jaw fractures or bone exposure, which can occur after treatment. The goal is to gather information from medical records of patients treated at several university hospitals in Sweden, focusing on those who have undergone surgery and radiation for their cancer.
To participate in this study, you must have been diagnosed with a head and neck cancer and received radiation therapy, either alone or combined with surgery. You should also have been monitored for at least 12 months after your treatment. The researchers will carefully review your medical records to better understand the relationship between radiation treatment and potential complications. This study is currently looking for participants of all genders, aged 65 and older, who fit these criteria. If you're interested, you can expect to contribute to important research that may help improve future treatments for patients like you.
