ClinConnect Summary

The GOLD trial is a study designed to help families of children diagnosed with cancer by providing support and resources to reduce anxiety and build resilience. This program will take place online, making it easier for caregivers to participate from home. The goal is to understand how effective this support can be for families facing the challenges of a recent cancer diagnosis in their child.

To be eligible for this study, parents must have a child aged 0-17 who has been diagnosed with cancer within the last year. Parents should also be fluent in English and willing to participate. Children aged 8-17 are invited to join, but they need to agree to take part in the study as well. If you meet these criteria, you could expect to engage in virtual sessions that offer helpful tools and strategies to cope with the emotional impact of cancer on your family. This trial is currently looking for participants, and it aims to provide valuable insights into how families can better navigate these difficult times together.
