ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at different ways to help people quit smoking, specifically among patients who might not have easy access to healthcare. The study is comparing three methods: a mobile health app called iCanQuit, a version of that app combined with additional support called Motiv8, and the Florida quit line, which is a telephone service offering help to quit smoking. By studying these options, researchers aim to find out which approach works best for helping patients stop using tobacco.
To participate in the trial, you need to be at least 21 years old, have been referred by your healthcare provider, and be a patient at one of the participating clinics. You should also have daily access to a smartphone, but if you don’t have one, the study team can help you get one through assistance programs. The trial is open to all genders, and participants should not have any serious medical or mental health issues. If you join, you can expect to receive support and resources to help you quit smoking, and your progress will be monitored throughout the study.
