ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new way to test for diabetes and thyroid diseases using a method called Dried Blood Spot (DBS) testing. This involves collecting a small drop of blood on special paper cards at home, which can then be sent to a laboratory for analysis. The goal is to make it easier and less invasive for adults to get routine health tests without needing to visit a lab for traditional blood draws. This method is already used successfully for newborn screenings and has been endorsed by organizations like the World Health Organization for its convenience and cost-effectiveness.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and planning to visit a Bio-Test Laboratory for a scheduled blood test. You should also be able to give your permission to join the study. However, if you have certain bleeding disorders or cannot provide a good blood sample, you may not be eligible. If you join, you can expect to collect your blood sample at home and send it in for testing, aiming to help improve how we diagnose health conditions in the future.
