ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "PRehab tO PreparE Living Liver Donors for Enhanced Recovery," is investigating how a special program (called prehabilitation or "prehab") can help people who are donating part of their liver for transplant. The goal is to see if this prehab program is better than the usual care that donors receive in terms of preparing them for surgery, helping them recover, and improving their overall well-being. Researchers want to find out how many people can be recruited for this study, how well they stick with the program, and if there are any side effects.
To participate in this trial, you need to be fluent in English and have at least 28 days before your scheduled liver donation surgery. However, if you will be away for more than two weeks during the program, or if your health changes and you can no longer be a donor, you won’t be eligible. If you join, you can expect to take part in activities designed to improve your health and recovery. The researchers will also gather information on how you feel about your care and your physical abilities, which will help them plan for a larger study in the future.
