ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how to improve the diagnosis of complex eye infections, specifically conditions like endophthalmitis (an infection inside the eye) and keratitis (an infection of the cornea). The researchers want to test two advanced techniques: one that looks at the genetic material from samples taken from the eye, and another that quickly detects multiple types of germs that could cause these infections. By using these methods, the goal is to make it easier and faster to identify the right treatment for patients suffering from these serious eye conditions.
To participate in this study, you need to be an adult who has symptoms of a complex eye infection, such as a corneal abscess that requires hospitalization or a possible infection inside the eye. Unfortunately, people who are pregnant or under legal guardianship cannot participate. If you join the trial, you will help researchers learn more about these infections and how to diagnose them more effectively, contributing to better care for future patients. Your involvement will be voluntary, and you can ask questions at any time during the study.
