ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how a special program that combines exercise and heart health education can help older adults at risk of heart disease. The goal is to see if this program can improve their cardiovascular health and encourage a healthier lifestyle. The trial will focus on Chinese adults aged 60 and older who have at least one risk factor for heart disease, like high blood pressure or diabetes. Participants must be able to read and write in Chinese, communicate in Cantonese, and use a mobile phone for text messages.
If you qualify for this trial, you can expect to join a community program that supports your heart health through both physical activity and learning about healthy habits. It's important to note that those with certain disabilities or previous heart issues will not be eligible to participate. This study aims to fill a gap by including older adults in heart disease prevention efforts, which is often overlooked.
