ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how effective a virtual training simulator can be for teaching new doctors the skills needed for minimally invasive surgeries, which are operations done through small incisions using special tools. The goal is to create a better learning experience for trainees in their first and second years of residency in thoracic (chest) and general surgery. The study will measure how much the surgical skills of these residents improve after using the simulator.
To participate in this trial, you need to be a first or second-year resident in thoracic or general surgery. Unfortunately, fully trained surgeons or those who are in a higher level of training won’t be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to use the virtual simulator to practice and enhance your surgical abilities in a safe environment. This trial is currently looking for participants, and anyone who qualifies will have the chance to benefit from this innovative training approach.
