ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is examining the differences in the microorganisms found in the breath of people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and those without the condition. Researchers want to understand how these microorganisms vary between the two groups, which could help improve our understanding of COPD and its effects on health. The trial is currently looking for participants, and those interested can join if they are either over 18 years old and have COPD or are between 18-30 years old or 45-70 years old and do not have COPD.
Participants will be asked to provide breath samples for analysis. There will be two collections of breath samples, one now and another about a year later, during the fall and winter months. It’s important to note that certain people, such as those on specific medications recently or those with certain health conditions, won't be eligible to participate. If you or a family member meet the criteria and are interested in contributing to this important research, please consider joining the study!
