ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how effective a screening program can be for detecting bronchopulmonary cancer (a type of lung cancer) and preventing heart disease in people with a history of smoking. Researchers want to see how many people will participate in this program, which involves sending letters to potential participants in the Ile de France region. If you are between 55 and 74 years old, have a significant history of smoking, and have not smoked in the last 15 years, you may be eligible to join the study.
Participants in this trial will undergo a series of medical examinations at the start and then again at one, two, three, four, and five years later. These check-ups will help monitor lung health and any potential signs of cancer or heart disease. It’s important to know that some individuals will not be able to participate, such as those currently being treated for bronchopulmonary cancer or those with serious health issues that could affect their survival. If you think you might qualify or are interested in learning more, please keep an eye out for the recruitment phase to begin!
