ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, called "Furthering Equity Through Infant Feeding Education and Support," is exploring whether adding peer counseling to standard breastfeeding support can help Black and Hispanic/Latine families breastfeed for longer and more effectively. The goal is to see if this extra support makes a difference in how families experience breastfeeding, especially for those who may face challenges or barriers.
To participate in this study, you need to be between 12 and 20 weeks pregnant, speak either English or Spanish, and plan to deliver your baby at one of the designated hospitals. If you haven’t previously received peer counseling for breastfeeding, you may qualify. Participants will receive both standard lactation care and additional support from trained peers who have experience with breastfeeding. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to make breastfeeding support more equitable for families who need it most.
