ClinConnect Summary
The "Juego de Llaves" trial is studying a school-based program designed to help prevent drug use among teenagers aged 12 to 15 years. The goal is to see if this program can effectively reduce behaviors related to alcohol and smoking, as well as improve emotional well-being among adolescents. The trial will take place in various secondary schools in Spain, where some schools will participate in the program while others will not (serving as a comparison group). Researchers will track the students' behaviors and feelings over three years to understand how well the program works.
To be eligible for this study, schools need to be secondary education institutions located in Spain that agree to take part in the trial. Schools that are already using other strong drug prevention programs for the same age group will not be included. Participants can expect to engage with an app designed for the study, which will help gather information on their behaviors and school environment. This trial is important because it aims to improve how we assess and understand the effectiveness of drug prevention programs in schools, ultimately helping to keep our youth safe and healthy.
