ClinConnect Summary
The Stanford Spine Keeper trial is studying how a mobile health app can help people manage their chronic low back pain. This app, called Stanford SpineKeeper, is designed to provide support and resources directly to patients through their iPhones. The goal is to see if using this app, which includes information and exercises, can improve the quality of life and reduce pain for those who have been experiencing low back pain for at least six months.
To participate in this study, individuals need to be at least 18 years old, able to read English, and have an iPhone that’s updated and can connect to the internet. However, people with serious health issues that could affect their ability to participate, those who are pregnant, or anyone who is currently incarcerated will not be eligible. Participants can expect to use the app regularly and take part in a program designed to help them feel better and manage their pain more effectively. This trial is not yet recruiting, but it aims to provide valuable insights into managing low back pain through technology.
