ClinConnect Summary
The Twelve-year Follow-up on the Treatment of Obese Pregnant Women (TOP) Study is looking to understand how lifestyle changes during pregnancy can affect both mothers and their children many years later. This study invites mothers who participated in the original TOP study, along with their children, to see how healthy habits like diet and physical activity during pregnancy may influence obesity in future generations. By following up after twelve years, researchers hope to learn more about preventing and treating obesity.
If you were part of the original TOP study between 2009 and 2012, you and your child are eligible to join this follow-up. There are no additional exclusion criteria, so if you participated before, you can take part now. During the study, you can expect to share your experiences and provide information about your lifestyle and health. This research is important as it aims to improve our understanding of obesity and how it can be passed from one generation to the next.
