ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial, titled "Modulating Speech Perception With Current Stimulation," is exploring a new method to help improve how people understand speech. The study uses a technique called transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS), which is a way to gently stimulate the brain to synchronize with speech sounds. The goal is to see if this method can be developed into a tool that helps many people, not just those in the study.
To participate, you need to be between 18 and 50 years old and able to give your written consent. You should not be taking certain medications that might cause seizures, and it's important that you do not have any serious visual or hearing problems. Unfortunately, pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as those with certain medical conditions or who are under legal guardianship, cannot join. If you do participate, you can expect to engage in activities related to speech understanding while being monitored for safety. This study is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to make a valuable contribution to our understanding of speech perception.
