ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is comparing two types of surgery for patients with a specific type of thyroid cancer called papillary thyroid carcinoma. The researchers want to see how well a newer method called endoscopic thyroidectomy, which involves making smaller cuts and using special tools, works compared to the traditional open thyroidectomy, where a larger incision is made in the neck. The trial is being conducted across multiple medical centers in China, and it aims to determine if the newer method is just as safe and effective as the older one.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and have a tumor that is smaller than 2 centimeters. You should not have any severe health issues that would prevent you from having surgery, and you should be able to follow the study's guidelines. If you decide to join, you can expect to undergo either the endoscopic or open surgery and will be monitored closely during your recovery. This trial is not yet recruiting participants, so it may take some time before you can enroll if you meet the criteria.
