ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how certain proteins found in urine might help doctors diagnose follicular thyroid cancer earlier and more accurately before surgery. Thyroid cancer is common, and while some types can be identified through special tests, follicular thyroid cancer is more challenging to diagnose because it often requires surgery for a definitive answer. The researchers hope that by looking at these specific proteins in urine, they can improve the way doctors identify this type of cancer before patients undergo surgery.
To participate in this study, patients must have been diagnosed with nodular goiter (enlarged thyroid) or different types of thyroid cancer, including follicular cancer, and they should be preparing for surgery. The trial is currently recruiting participants of all genders, aged between 18 and 75. If you join the study, you will help researchers understand if these urine tests can make diagnosing thyroid cancer easier and could potentially lead to better treatment options in the future.
