ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new method for removing pituitary adenomas, which are common tumors in the brain. Researchers are exploring a technique called endoscopic pseudocapsule-based resection, where a special type of surgery is performed through the nose. This approach focuses on carefully removing the tumor while preserving surrounding healthy tissue, which can help reduce side effects and maintain important hormone functions. The study is looking for patients aged between 18 and 80 who are eligible for surgery based on specific health guidelines.
Participants in the trial can expect to undergo a detailed imaging process before surgery to help guide the doctors in removing the tumor effectively. During the surgery, advanced navigation tools will be used to ensure a safe and complete removal. After the surgery, patients will have follow-up appointments to monitor their recovery and check for any signs of the tumor returning. It’s important to note that not everyone can participate; for example, patients with certain other health issues or complications related to their condition may not be eligible. This trial is a step towards improving treatment outcomes for those with pituitary adenomas.
