ClinConnect Summary
The Cleveland African American Prostate Cancer Project is a clinical trial aimed at helping Black or African American men aged 40 and older to get screened for prostate cancer. The main goal of this study is to encourage participants to complete a specific test called the prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test, which can help detect prostate cancer early. The trial is currently looking for eligible men to join the study.
To qualify for the trial, participants must be at least 40 years old, identify as Black or African American, and have a prostate gland. They should not have had a PSA test in the past year and must not have been diagnosed with prostate cancer before. Participants will be guided through the screening process and receive support throughout the study. It’s important to note that men who have had prostate surgery (prostatectomy) are not eligible to take part. This trial is a great opportunity for eligible men to take an important step for their health and potentially help others in the community.
