ClinConnect Summary

The LINK clinical trial is studying how providing fresh fruits and vegetables, along with diabetes education and support from community services, can help improve blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes who are facing food insecurity. The goal is to see if these resources can lower hemoglobin A1c levels, which is a key marker for blood sugar control.

To participate, you need to be between 65 and 74 years old, have type 2 diabetes with a hemoglobin A1c level of 7.5% or higher, and show that you are experiencing food insecurity. Participants can expect to receive fresh produce, educational sessions about managing diabetes, and referrals to local resources that can help with food and other needs. This study is currently recruiting, and it's a great opportunity for those who qualify to get support that may improve their health and well-being.
