ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how adapted physical activity (APA) can help reduce anxiety in patients with serious blood diseases who are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The researchers want to see if different types of activities, such as traditional exercises, video game-based exercises (known as Exergaming), and relaxation techniques combined with biofeedback (a method that helps people learn to control their body functions) can make a difference in the anxiety levels of these patients. The goal is to find out if these activities can not only ease anxiety but also help patients maintain their physical abilities during a tough time.
To participate in this trial, individuals need to be between 18 and 75 years old and currently admitted to the ICU. They must also be able to provide informed consent, meaning they understand what the study involves. However, those who cannot exercise for health reasons, do not speak French, are involved in another research study, or do not have social security coverage will not be eligible. Participants can expect to engage in different activity programs designed to improve their well-being while being closely monitored by healthcare professionals.
